JAKARTA, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- Landslides hit tourist resort in Indonesia's West Java province, leaving four people dead and two others missing, national disaster management agency disclosed on Tuesday.
Heavy downpours were blamed for the incident in Puncak resort, where many domestic holiday makers regularly visit during weekends, an official at the national disaster management agency said.
"Four bodies have been discovered as the search and rescue operation for the missing is underway," he told Xinhua.
Dozens of villagers, who were threatened by the possibility of further landslides, fled their homes, according to the agency.
Risk assessment of the disaster was being carried out, the official added.
Indonesia is frequently stricken by landslide and floods during heavy rains.
