RABAT, July 4 (Xinhua) -- The "Rabat Light" International Photography Festival opened late Tuesday in the Moroccan capital Rabat. China is invited as the guest country of this year's festival.
Chinese Ambassador to Morocco Li Li said Chinese and Moroccan peoples can increase mutual understanding and consolidate traditional friendship through lens of the photographers.
He stressed that cultural exchanges have played an extremely important role in the past exchanges between the two countries, mentioning that this year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Morocco.
Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Morocco Chen Dongyun said more than 100 photographs of dozens of Chinese photographers will be exhibited during the festival.
The festival will last five days with a series of cultural activities including photography exhibitions, photography art seminars and photography technology workshops.
