MOSCOW, July 11 (Xinhua) -- Moscow will take tit-for-tat measures in response to the Greek expulsion of Russian diplomats, a Russian Foreign Ministry official said Wednesday.

According to media reports, Greece has decided to expel two Russian diplomats and ban another two from entry due to their alleged illegal actions against the country's national security.

There was no immediate comment on the reports from Greek authorities.

Earlier this year, over two dozen Western countries had expelled a total of around 150 Russian diplomats over an alleged nerve agent attack against a former Russian spy in Britain.

Moscow responded with equivalent measures in the rare diplomatic spat, bringing Russia-West relations to a new low.
