VLADIVOSTOK, Russia, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday that he is satisfied with the "progressive development" of relations with Mongolia.

Putin made the remarks during a meeting with Mongolian President Khaltmaa Battulga in Russia's Far Eastern port city of Vladivostok on the sidelines of the fourth Eastern Economic Forum, according to a Kremlin press release.

Putin noted the positive indicators of Russia-Mongolia economic cooperation, with bilateral trade up by 46.9 percent in 2017 and by 27.6 percent in the first half of the year.

"We are in favor of developing our strategic partnership and enriching it with new content," Battulga told Putin, adding that Mongolia is planning to establish a trade office in Vladivostok.
