HAIKOU, April 13 (Xinhua) -- The success of special economic zones such as Hainan has proved that the basic theories, lines and policies of the Communist Party of China (CPC) formed since the third plenary session of the 11th CPC Central Committee were "entirely right," Chinese President Xi Jinping said Friday.
The success has "fully proved that the strategic decision of the CPC Central Committee on establishing the special economic zones was entirely right," according to Xi, also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission.
Xi made the remarks at a gathering celebrating the 30th anniversary of the founding of Hainan Province and the Hainan Special Economic Zone.
