Pic story of pedicab driver Xu Shijie in China's Henan

Xu Shijie, a pedicab driver, guides for visitors in Kaifeng, central China's Henan Province, April 26, 2018. 51-year-old Xu Shijie, or Jason in English, is a pedicab driver. As many pedicab drivers can not speak English, Xu who loves read English books in his spare time stands out. Since Xu met his first foreign customer in 2003, he has determined to improve his English listening and speaking skills. Xu practiced English every day and now he can introduces the Kaifeng's history, scenic spots and folk customs in English fluently. Also he helps his customers with booking hotels and train tickets sometimes. Xu makes a decent salary by working as a pedicab driver and is satisfied with his life. (Xinhua/Li Jianan)
