7.3-magnitude quake hits 20 km NW of Yaguaraparo, Venezuela: USGS

NEW YORK, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale jolted 20 km NW of Yaguaraparo, Venezuela at 21:31:42 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 123.18 km, was initially determined to be at 10.7392 degrees north latitude and 62.9106 degrees west longitude.
