BEIRUT, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon Wang Kejian Wednesday visited Lebanese caretaker Economy Minister Raed Khoury in the ministry to discuss bilateral ties between the two countries, local media reported.
"Discussions revolved around economic ties and trade between the two countries and the importance of strengthening Chinese-Lebanese relations by participating in exhibitions in China and Lebanon," according to the National News Agency.
2018 China International Import Expo (CIIE), which will take place in Shanghai from Nov. 5-10, will witness the participation of a Lebanese delegation headed by Alia Abbas, a source at the Economy Ministry told Xinhua.
General Director of Economy and Trade at Lebanese Economy Ministry, Alia Abbas, and Head of Beirut Traders Association, Nicolas Chammas, also attended the meeting.
