Ecuador to play Peru and Panama in friendlies

QUITO, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Ecuador will meet Peru and Panama in this year's final FIFA international friendly window next month, the Ecuadorian Football Federation (FEF) said on Tuesday.

The Tricolor face Peru in Lima on November 15 and Panama in Panama City five days later, FEF president Carlos Villacis said.

Ecuador, who failed to qualify for this year's World Cup in Russia, have won two of their four matches since the Colombian Hernan Dario Gomez was appointed as their coach in August.

The team's 2-0 victories over Jamaica and Guatemala in September were followed by a 4-3 loss to Qatar and a goalless draw with Oman earlier this month.

Ecuador are currently 58th in the FIFA world rankings.
