NEW DELHI, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- As many as 35 school students were injured in a bus mishap in India's northern state of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday, according to local media.
The students were going to attend a public gathering to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The school bus fell into a deep ditch near Lunj area in Kangra district of the state.
All the injured have been admitted in a nearby government hospital.
According to the local media reports, five students were seriously injured and were referred to the medical college in Tanda area.
