One dead, one injured in fire in Bangkok shopping mall

BANGKOK, April 10 (Xinhua) -- At least one person died and another was severely injured after the duo jumped off from a shopping mall on fire in downtown Bangkok on Wednesday, local media Thairath reported.

A video which went viral on social media showed two men jumped off the window of the mall among thick smoke and people's cries.

Thai media Khaosod reported there would be more fatalities.

Fire broke out at 17:40 local time at the 8th floor of Bangkok's Central World shopping mall and the fire was extinguished at about 18:10, according to the Central Group that operating the mall.
