LUSAKA, April 25 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Embassy in Zambia on Thursday refuted misleading reports by some German media over the Asian nation's cooperation with the southern African nation.
Deutsche Welle, a German broadcaster, recently published a series of biased reports with pictures and videos on its website, which made groundless accusations against the pragmatic cooperation between China and Zambia.
In a statement, the embassy expressed strong dissatisfaction and resolute opposition to the biased reports that deliberately fabricated facts and were full of prejudice against China-Zambia cooperation in various fields.
The statement said that the extensive and in-depth pragmatic cooperation between China and Zambia has played an important role in Zambia's socio-economic development and enhancing the welfare of the people of the southern African nation.
The outcomes of China-Zambia and China-Africa cooperation are firm and tangible, which can withstand the test of time and any attempts to distort and deny such achievements are doomed to fail, it said.
According to the statement, the China-Africa cooperation has always been one of the best examples of South-South cooperation and that China's unchanging and original aspiration has been to help the African continent achieve development and bring benefits to the ordinary people.
"Only the governments and people of Zambia and other African countries could have the final judgment over the performance of China-Africa cooperation," it said. Enditem
