WUHAN, China, May 19 (Xinhua) -- The leisure breeze through lush trees and blooming flowers outside the window, failed to spread its relaxing mood inside the office of the 7th Military World Games Executive Committee, as the staff members here were sprinting to the final stage of preparatory work in a tense countdown of less than 200 days.

This is the first impression from the reporter after a short visit to the Committee here in the host city of Wuhan.

Located around Taci Lake, Wuhan City, the office building of the 7th Military World Games Executive Committee is a complex consisting of a 6-storey old building and a 3-storey new building.

The maintenance of the old building was completed and put into use in September last year. It was used for the executive committee offices, meetings, press conferences, etc.. After the Games, it will be re-open to the public as a museum.

Walking into the office building of the Executive Committee of the military games, the reporter was impressed by the staff's rapid pace -- they were shuttling between offices with documents in hand at any time.

According to the relevant department head of the Executive Committee, the Executive Committee was set up with great support from both the nation and the city. During the early stage of preparatory work in 2017, the municipal government of Wuhan sent about 300 cadres to work with the Executive Committee in batches.

"Although time was limited and the task was tough, I am confident in finishing my job ahead of plan," said Ai Ying, a deputy researcher at the School of Wuhan Municipal Party Committee.

The Committee of the Games has also recruited a group of professionals with high educational degrees and relevant oversea experiences for 33 positions, including project management, competition management, venue construction and etc..

Zou Ming, who worked in the volunteer department, was discussing the training plan for the competition volunteers with his colleagues when the reporter entered the office.

Zou was a former oversea executive from an international company. He couldn't wait to return after he learnt about the recruitment and passed the evaluation. "I have been benefited a lot from the meticulous and innovation work of volunteering," Zou said.

"We have made some breakthrough in organizing the volunteers. For example, we hired a training organization as well as a third-party evaluating team to undertake all the volunteer training tasks for the Games," said Ruan Huang, deputy director in charge of the volunteer training project.

Under the impetus of such a dynamic and efficient group, the preparations for the military games are advancing steadily.
