NEW DELHI, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Unidentified terrorists attacked security personnel belonging to India's para-military Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in India-controlled Kashmir's Anantnag district on Wednesday, official sources confirmed.
The security personnel retaliated and a gunfight ensued, they added.
"Exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists at Anantnag. Area under cordon. Further details shall follow," tweeted the local police.
According to local media reports, a few security personnel and cops have been injured in the attack.
