"The White Storm 2: Drug Lords" still tops Chinese mainland box office

BEIJING, July 10 (Xinhua) -- "The White Storm 2: Drug Lords" continued leading the Chinese mainland box office on Tuesday, China Movie Data Information Network reported Wednesday.

The Chinese anti-drug action film grossed 73.58 million yuan (10.7 million U.S. dollars), accounting for over 60 percent of the daily ticket sales.

"Spider-Man: Far from Home," the latest installment of the acclaimed Marvel Cinematic Universe, ranked second, pulling in 26.75 million yuan.

Coming in third is Universal and Illumination's "The Secret Life of Pets 2", which grossed 9.39 million yuan.

"The White Storm 2: Drug Lords" boasted a total box office of 588 million yuan since its July 5 premiere on the Chinese mainland.
