BEIRUT, July 10 (Xinhua) -- European ambassadors to Lebanon urged on Wednesday Lebanese officials to drop their political differences and focus on reforms, the National News Agency reported.
"Lebanese officials must put their differences aside and focus on structural and financial reform measures to achieve stability and prosperity in the country," the ambassadors said after their meeting with Lebanese Prime Prime Minister Saad Hariri.
Hariri said the Lebanese government is going in the right direction with regard to reforms and the parliament will approve the 2019 state budget next week.
Endorsing a state budget that slashes the deficit is among the measures that the Lebanese government pledged to take as part of the key financial and economic reforms required at the CEDRE Conference held in Paris last year.
