Award-winning "Ride Your Wave" hits Chinese theaters

BEIJING, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- "Ride Your Wave," winner of the Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) Golden Goblet Award for Best Animation Film, hit Chinese theaters Saturday.

An emotional Japanese film by acclaimed director Masaaki Yuasa, "Ride Your Wave" tells of a love story between a surfer and a firefighter.

It was first screened at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival on June 10, 2019, before being screened at SIFF on June 21.
